Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and music producer. Raised by her mother throughout the USA she was subject to numerous racial insults which gave her feeling of being unwelcome. In her 9th year that she started to feel more confident following her acclaim at an audition. This not only increased her self-confidence but also changed her career ambition. At the age of 22, she graduated from New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23, her first Broadway performance with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both major breaks. The most notable success of her career came with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake on Spamalot's original Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by critics. The following year, in 2007 she was cast in the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. She is known as a performer and also released a single and an extended show. In addition, she is a LGBT activist.
