David Muir, an American journalist, anchoring the ABC News magazine 20, is known best as the anchor of World News Tonight With David Muir. Through its animated movements and shocking videos of celeb gossip the show has grown into America's top newscast. Made In America, his Emmy nominated show, is yet another one of his achievements. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. He was the anchor for numerous primetime specials for ABC News some recent ones being Breaking Point: Heroin in America and Flashpoint the Refugees of America. The reporter has covered stories from all over the globe, including Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He's won numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards as well as numerous distinctions and awards from the Associated Press.
